In order to send your complaint to the European Court of Human Rights, you must familiarize yourself with the requirements for writing this appeal on the official website of the organization, fill out a form in the established form and attach documents proving the violation of your rights.

Instructions

Step 1

Visit the official website of the European Court of Human Rights. Choose your language - English or French.

Step 2

Notice the vertical menu at the top left of the page. Find the penultimate item Applicants in it, when you hover over it, a pop-up menu will appear, in it select the second item Apply to the Court. In the next submenu, find the penultimate Application pack item.

Step 3

Study the information for those wishing to apply to the European Court of Human Rights. In the list of countries, find the inscription Russian, click on it. The document is in pdf format. It presents the "Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms", the protocols thereto and the form of the complaint. All information is presented in Russian.

Step 4

Fill out the complaint form. Provide information about yourself, place of residence and the state against which your complaint is directed. If you are acting through a representative, please attach a power of attorney signed by both parties to the form. Please use separate pages numbered iii and iv for facts and violations of your rights. Be sure to list other international instances where you have applied with a request to consider your case.

Step 5

List in item 21 of the form all documents related to your complaint. Keep in mind that when sending a letter to the European Court, you must attach copies of all these documents, after the consideration of the case, they will not be returned to you.

Step 6

Send your complaint and all required documents to: European Court of Human Rights Council of Europe 67075 Strasbourg CedexFrance.

Step 7

Use the electronic form for filing complaints with the European Court of Human Rights. Please note that in this case you must have electronic copies of all required documents. The application form is located in the Apply to the Court submenu on the last line of the Application form online.
