The policy of providing housing for active military and military pensioners is actively pursued by our state today. According to the law, military pensioners can expect to receive their own living quarters, but for this, certain conditions must be met.
Instructions
Step 1
Only those military pensioners can be provided with housing. Those who left the service either upon reaching the maximum service life, or were sent to the reserve for health reasons or in connection with regular activities, but their service life must be at least 10 years. These categories of the military can obtain ownership of housing, enter into a social tenancy agreement or receive monetary compensation. This is possible if you or your relatives do not own an apartment purchased at their own expense.
Step 2
To get a certificate for an apartment, you need to contact the housing department of the Office of the Department of Housing Policy and Housing and provide the following documents:
- the passport;
- military ID;
- pensioner's ID;
- an application for the provision of housing;
- documents proving the identity of all members of your family who must be provided with housing;
- documents confirming family ties between members of your family (marriage certificate, birth certificates of children);
- documents confirming that you or your family members do not have an apartment bought with your own money.
Step 3
In each separate region, local authorities have the right to independently determine the size of housing, which should be provided to a military pensioner in ownership. The norms established by the legislation of the Russian Federation assume 18 square meters per one pensioner; 18 square meters plus 15-25 square meters for pensioners with benefits for additional space. The issued housing may exceed the norm, but no more than 18 square meters for single military pensioners and 9 square meters for families.
Step 4
After your application has been reviewed, you will be placed on a waiting list and then issued with a housing certificate to be used for a limited period of 3 months.
