Necessary

  • -help-account;
  • -contract of sale

Instructions

Step 1

Consider the fact that the tax period for the sale of your car will be a calendar year. This rule is fixed in article 216 of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation. That is, if you sold a car in 2011, then you will have to report for this no later than April 30, 2012. A tax report will have to be drawn up according to the approved and specific form of 3-NDFL.

Step 2

You can either take the declaration form in the specified form directly from the tax office, or download it on the Internet. Proceed to filling in the indicated fields. Indicate to which tax office you are submitting your return. Its full name is best clarified directly with the inspection. This will help you avoid mistakes. Then check the box “by another individual”. This is necessary so that the tax office understands that you did not receive income from entrepreneurial activity.

Step 3

Proceed to the registration of the "Information about the declarant" block. To do this, in the fields provided, indicate your last name, first name, patronymic and identification number (TIN). Here, write down the type of document proving your identity. Usually this is a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation. Please provide full details. Also here you need to register your date of birth and citizenship.

Step 4

Next, indicate who provided the completeness and reliability of the information received. If you personally submit a declaration, please tick the appropriate box. If a representative does this for you, then he must indicate this in the appropriate field. Date and sign.

Step 5

Go to the next page of the declaration. Indicate here your TIN number, taxpayer status - whether you are a resident or not, last name and initials. Then write down the registration address in the Russian Federation. The form specifies in detail what exactly needs to be specified. Then indicate your actual place of residence - in case it differs from the main one.

Step 6

On the third page, in the fields provided, fill in only those that apply to you. That is, those that indicate what you made a profit for, its size, the rate at which it will be taxed and the amount that you must contribute to the state treasury. In your case, the tax rate will be calculated from 13%.

Step 7

Each sheet of the declaration must be signed and the date of completion must be indicated. Then flash your tax report. Attach to it documents confirming the information you specified. This can be a sales contract, a certificate of account (it contains the amount for which you sold the car), a copy of the loan agreement (if you sold it in this way). You can file a return on business days and hours of your local tax office.
