A power of attorney is required to apply for a visa or travel abroad for children, if the child is traveling with third parties or on their own. In some cases, if a child travels abroad accompanied by one of the parents, a power of attorney from the other parent will be required when applying for a visa. A prerequisite is the notarization of this document.

- - Russian passports of parents;
- - original birth certificate of a minor citizen, guardian's certificate, etc.;
- - parental consent to the departure of the child under the care of a third party;
- - information about the purpose of the trip;
- - data of the person under whose guardianship the child will be;
- - information about the period during which the child will be abroad.
Instructions
Step 1
Download the power of attorney form. Fill it in carefully. Indicate the name of the child, the details of his birth certificate and the details of his passport (if any).
Step 2
Fill in the passport details of the parents and the details of the person accompanied by the child. Write in the document the exact date of the upcoming trip, if you are applying for an exit visa. The term of validity of the power of attorney can be up to the age of majority of the child, if he travels to a country with a visa-free regime of entry.
Step 3
Certify the document by the guardianship and guardianship authorities if the child travels abroad without parents for a long period (more than 3 months).
Step 4
Ask your spouse to issue a power of attorney if you need a visa for a child to travel abroad with one of the parents. If a child travels to a visa-free country, there is no need to draw up a document.
Step 5
Take an application from the other parent if he does not give his permission to leave the child. This document must be submitted to the customs office. Then the data about the child will be sent to all customs points.
Step 6
If the second parent (or both) is absent, provide the notary, in addition to the above, the following documents: death certificate, or an extract from the court decision on deprivation of parental rights, certificate of a single mother. If the relationship of the child with the second parent is not maintained and the whereabouts of this person are unknown, obtain the appropriate certificate from the police.
Step 7
Apply with the completed power of attorney to a notary. Show originals and photocopies of the above documents. If filling out the form causes difficulties, the notary will draw up the power of attorney himself for a separate fee.
