If for any reason you were absent from home, and, as a result, did not use utilities, then you have the legal right to demand a recalculation of the rent. To do this, you must write a corresponding statement.
Instructions
Step 1
It is very important that the temporary absence, for which it is possible to make a recalculation, must continue for at least 5 days or more in a row. The amount of payments can be recalculated for services that are calculated according to consumption standards (except for cases where individual metering devices are present in the living quarters): gas, water, sewerage and electricity.
Step 2
To return money for utilities that you have not used for some time (during vacation, business trip, etc.), you need to write applications for the recalculation of the rent. It is necessary to apply with this application to the one who manages your house or serves it (HOA, ZhEK, etc.).
Step 3
Take an A4 sheet. In the upper right corner, write to whom you are sending the application (name of the organization, first and last name of the manager). Also indicate the details of the applicant, that is, your initials with your last name and address of residence.
Step 4
Slightly lower in the middle of the sheet, write "Application for recalculation of utility bills." And describe in detail your requirements, indicate what they are based on. Also fill in the appropriate attachments (for example, copies of the bills you paid for the period for which you are requesting a recalculation). If you have doubts and difficulties in writing an application, go to the housing office that serves you - they will help you do everything without mistakes.
Step 5
At the end of the application, as well as on other similar documents, you need to put a signature and the date of its writing. By the way, you need to submit an application for recalculation no later than one month from the date of return (from a business trip, vacation, etc.).
Step 6
By law, the recalculation must be done within five working days. A cleared receipt will be sent to you in the next billing month. The reduction in the cost of services occurs in proportion to the number of days of your absence.
