Due to various family situations, it may be necessary to register a grandson with a grandmother or grandfather, who are homeowners. It is one thing when the mother or father of the child is registered in the same place, then the underage baby is automatically registered at the place of registration of the parents, but what to do when relatives are registered in a direct line in another place, and the grandson lives with his grandparents. How to register a grandson and whether it is possible to do this are questions that today concern a fairly large circle of people.

Instructions

Step 1

According to the housing legislation of the Russian Federation, a homeowner can move (register) his children, grandchildren, and other relatives on the territory of his living space only with the consent of all people living (registered) in this living space, even those who are absent at the time of registration. If, in fact, the grandson lives with his grandmother and / or grandfather, and the mother is not against his registration in the old people's house, then you can easily register the child, and for this you need to collect the necessary documents and submit them to the territorial office of the FMS.

Step 2

Collect documents such as a personal passport, the passport of the mother or father of the child and the passport of the child himself (if any) or his birth certificate, a statement (departure) of the child from the previous place of registration, a certificate from the parent's place of residence or two certificates, if they are registered separately, a house book, a registration certificate for an apartment, an extract from the BTI, confirming the ownership of a dwelling or a sale and purchase agreement and their photocopies, parental permission for registration, certified by a notary, as well as documents confirming the fact that the child lives with you (for example, a student card if the child is attending an educational institution in your community, etc.). Attention! If the child is already 14 years old at the time of registration, it is also necessary to provide a military ID or a certificate issued to those liable for military service.

Step 3

Show up to the registration authorities with your grandson if his age has reached the age of 14, otherwise, you can appear at the FMS authorities without a child with all the above documents.

Step 4

Write a sample application for registering a grandson if you are the owner of the home, otherwise (if you are not the owner) you will need both your application and the owner's application.

Step 5

Remember, by registering a grandson with you, you give him the full right to use the dwelling, along with all the persons registered there, and you can subsequently deprive him of this right only on the basis established by housing legislation or by a court decision.
