Within 15 days after the receipt of the application, the employer is obliged to give the worker a duplicate of his work book. The duplicate records information about the general work experience of the employee, information about the work and awards that were entered into the labor at the last place of work. The total experience is recorded in total, indicating the total number of years, months and days without specifying organizations, periods of work and positions occupied by the employee.

Step 3

If the work book contains records of dismissal or transfer to another place of work, which are recognized as invalid, the employee is issued a duplicate, where all his records in the work book are recorded, with the exception of invalid ones.

In the event of a massive loss of work books by the employer due to emergencies, the length of service of these workers is established by the commission for establishing the length of service, which is created by the executive authority of the Russian Federation. It includes representatives of employers, trade unions and other interested institutions.

Step 5

Based on the results of the audit, the commission draws up an act, which indicates the periods of work, profession (position) and work experience of employees. After that, the employer, on the basis of the act of the commission for the restoration of the length of service, issues the employee a duplicate of the work book. If the documents confirming the length of service have not been preserved, then to confirm the length of service it is necessary to go to court.

You can also restore your work book when you are hired for a new job. In this case, you need to write an application to the new employer with a request to restore the work book. The application should be accompanied by documents that confirm the length of service (orders for employment, dismissal, employment contracts, etc.).
