You went on vacation, and suddenly you were invited to work in the company of your dreams. Or you sold an apartment and bought a home in another city. Or, having had a good night's sleep, they realized that they were doing something different from what they dreamed of in childhood, and that it was time to quit with it. The result in all cases is the same - the decision to dismiss. But how do you quit when you're on vacation?

You have the right to resign of your own free will at any time

Instructions

Step 1

According to Russian labor law, you have the right to resign of your own free will at any time, the main thing is to notify your employer about this two weeks in advance (14 calendar days). At the same time, it does not matter whether you work these two weeks, or rest - this time is given to the employer to find you a replacement. And this can be done even if the quitting employee is resting at a resort thousands of kilometers from the workplace.

Step 2

Therefore, if you made the decision to dismiss while on vacation, you can write a statement “on your own” two weeks before it ends, and indicate the last day of your vacation as the date of dismissal (you do not have to leave before the vacation ends. rights). In this case, your bosses have no right to make you "work out" - you simply must be fired in two weeks.

Step 3

If you do not want to show up at work while on vacation, you can send a letter of resignation by mail. To do this, you need to send it by registered mail - with a list of attachments and notification of receipt of the letter. In this case, the countdown of the two-week period starts from the moment the letter is received by your employer.

Step 4

If there are less than two weeks left until the end of your vacation, you cannot demand dismissal on the day you leave the vacation, and your superiors may require you to “work off” the remaining days.
