Finding a decent job with a good salary is not an easy task, and for a pregnant woman it is almost impossible. Employers prefer not to hire an employee who will obviously work for a few months, since with his departure the problem of finding a suitable candidate will again arise. In fact, it is quite possible for a woman expecting a baby to get a job; it is important to determine what goals she is pursuing.
The birth of a child and the associated preparations involve significant material costs. In addition, a woman drops out of full-fledged work for several months or years and cannot make her previous contribution to the family budget. And if a married mother-to-be can count on a spouse, then for a single mother this problem is very serious. Therefore, women try to secure their future in a financial sense as much as possible. The motivation for a pregnant woman to look for a job is to make good money before the baby is born and to be eligible for monthly payments from the employer. In the case when you just need money, there are a lot of options: temporary or seasonal work, network marketing, work from home (copyright, tutoring, babysitting, translations, handicrafts, etc.). Some activities can be done after childbirth, and other family members can also be involved in helping. But if a pregnant woman wants to officially find a job and then go on parental leave, she most often gets a refusal, although this is prohibited by the Labor Code of the Russian Federation. This behavior of employers is associated not only with the reluctance to hire an employee for a short period and then train a new one, but also with the erroneous opinion that they should pay maternity out of their own pocket. In fact, all benefits can be reimbursed from the Social Insurance Fund, of course, provided that the wages at the enterprise are "white", and the necessary contributions are made in a timely manner. relatives, friends and acquaintances who can assist in applying for a job in accordance with the Labor Code. The best options are government agencies or businesses that provide full benefits to employees. Perhaps somewhere there will be a suitable vacancy, even if it is not in the specialty, but at 30 weeks of pregnancy, a woman will be able to go on maternity leave and receive benefits guaranteed by the law. For a pregnant woman, a calm work that does not require physical effort and nervous tension is suitable. This can be found in the archive, library, office, in certain areas of the accounting department, in kindergarten. A postal employee and bank operator are not the best positions for a future mother, as they often require endurance and mental balance necessary to smooth out conflicts with clients. You can try your luck in finding a job and in commercial structures. Most often, especially for a short period, women hide their “interesting position” from potential employers, which later turns out to be an unpleasant surprise. In reality, it is better to immediately clarify the situation and discuss it with the employer, setting out your advantages over other candidates for the position. With this approach, the likelihood of a positive outcome increases. In addition, some specialties allow you to work remotely, so you can negotiate the possibility of performing functional duties at home while on maternity leave. At the same time, being an excellent specialist in her field, a pregnant woman can get a good job in this condition. In some cases, such valuable personnel are even poached from other organizations, providing good wages and all guarantees. Finally, the expectant mother can contact the employment center, where she can be offered work options, and if they are not available, she will be registered as unemployed. It is possible that a suitable vacancy will be found in this way, but the most important thing that should worry a pregnant woman is her child, therefore, if possible, it is better to give up work for a while and devote yourself to taking care of the future baby.
