In the official documents of the SNIP, the following definition is given: "Attic is the space between roof structures." Attic spaces are the property of all owners of privatized apartments, but only residents of the upper floors can add them.
Instructions
Step 1
You can either privatize the attic space, or rent it or use it free of charge. In order to privatize the attic, the consent of at least 2/3 of apartment owners will be required, but not those who rent municipal housing. Hold an owner meeting or go around all privatized apartments in order to obtain permission to privatize and renovate the attic space. Have this permission certified by a notary.
Step 2
If several owners apply for the attic space, it may be necessary to organize an HOA and register shared ownership.
Step 3
Since a variety of communications can take place in the attic, obtain permission from the organization on whose balance the house is located. Obtain technical specifications from utilities and order a renovation project from a licensed construction company. Agree on the project with GASK and get a permit for construction work.
Step 4
Renovate the attic space. After you have finished the reconstruction, call a technician from the BTI to carry out an inventory and obtain a technical passport. After obtaining the technical passport, order a technical report from a licensed construction company on the compliance with the documents of the actual reconstruction.
Step 5
With all the collected documents, apply to the court to recognize the ownership of the new area. Register ownership of the attic at BTI.
Step 6
If you want to take the attic space for rent or for free use, get a notarized consent of 2/3 of homeowners, a balance-holder organization, utilities and BTI. You will also need permission to remodel the attic and make changes to the data sheet.
