Instructions

Step 1

To determine the amount of damage caused by vehicle damage or destruction in a road traffic accident, contact the specialized organization that evaluates the vehicles. The choice of an appraiser is usually made by agreement of the parties (the victim in an accident and the culprit).

Step 2

If the culprit of the incident evades participation in the selection of the appraisal organization, the victim makes the choice on his own. In this case, it is necessary to notify the culprit of the accident about the time and place of the inspection of the car, carried out in order to assess the damage. The notification to the perpetrator of the accident is handed in personally against a receipt or a registered telegram with an acknowledgment of receipt. In the latter case, a copy of it must be certified by the telegraph.

Step 3

Experts of a specialized organization inspect the car, after which they draw up an appropriate inspection report. On the basis of the act, a calculation of the cost of repairs and the loss of the market value of the vehicle is subsequently drawn up.

Step 4

When inspecting the car, both interested parties involved in the accident must be present. Therefore, before starting work, the evaluator checks if there is a notification of a timely call for the inspection of interested parties.

Step 5

Before the start of the inspection, the owner of the vehicle presents to the expert a document proving his identity; technical passport of the car, as well as a traffic police certificate issued after the accident.

Step 6

The drawn up vehicle inspection report is signed by an expert and both parties. If the person who caused the harm did not appear, despite the timely notification, a corresponding note is made in the act.

Step 7

Within ten days, the customer of the inspection receives a drawn up inspection report and a completed calculation. These documents are the justification for the amount of damage to be compensated if the case is considered by the court.
