Therefore, it is better to know everything in advance, especially when it comes to obtaining citizenship for a child.
It is necessary
- 1. certificate from the maternity hospital about the birth of a child;
- 2. parents' passports;
- 3. marriage certificate (if any).
Instructions
Step 1
With a certificate from the hospital, parents' passports, marriage certificate, go to the registry office. The presence of one of the parents is sufficient if you are married. If not, then you must have both parents and a receipt confirming the payment of the state fee for establishing paternity. The registry office will give you a birth certificate for your child.
Step 2
With the birth certificate of the child and the parents' passports, go to the passport officer at the place of registration of the parents (one of the parents). You will be given a certificate of registration of your child at the place of residence. If the child's parents are registered in different places, then both parents must be present, one of whom writes a statement that he agrees to register the child at the place of registration of the other spouse. As a rule, a week passes from the moment of applying to the moment of issuing the certificate of registration.
Step 3
With a certificate of registration at the place of residence, a birth certificate of the child and with the passports of the parents, go to the passport and visa service of your area. There you will be stamped with citizenship on your birth certificate. Now your child is a citizen of Russia. In some areas, parents do not need to go anywhere - all the manipulations listed in this paragraph are done by a passport officer.
