Instructions
Step 1
To receive the current pension of a deceased relative, you must apply to the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation at the place of residence of the pensioner with an application, your passport, a certificate of family composition, an extract from the house book, and a death certificate. This must be done within 6 months from the date of death of the pensioner.
Step 2
The current pension, which the pensioner did not manage to receive, is not included either in the inheritance mass or in the burial allowance (Article 23 of the Federal Law "On Labor Pensions"). It is issued to the relatives of the deceased pensioner on the basis of the submitted documents (Article 1183 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation). The terms for consideration of the submitted documents are no more than 30 calendar days from the date of application.
Step 3
Do not hide the death of a pensioner and do not receive the amount of the current pension due to him on your own. You will be forcibly forced to return all the funds received to the Pension Fund, since documentary evidence and your application are needed to issue them, so that the authorized employees of the fund can make a report on the pension issued.
Step 4
The retirement pension ceases to be calculated and paid from the day of the death of the pensioner. For example, if your relative died two days before receiving the pension, they will recalculate and you will receive the rest of the amount. They will stop paying the pension from next month.
Step 5
If all transfers of the current pension were made to a savings book, in order to receive them, contact a notary with a statement, a death certificate, with your passport, with documents confirming relationship, with an inventory of inherited property, in which include the presence of a savings book with a specified amount of savings. The notary will initiate an inheritance case. After 6 months, you will be able to receive a certificate of inheritance, on the basis of which you will enter into the rights of a legal heir and receive all the funds of a deceased relative.
Step 6
To receive the funded part of the labor pension, which is part of the hereditary mass, contact the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation with a statement, certificate of inheritance, passport, death certificate and all documents confirming relationship. After reviewing the submitted documents, you will be transferred monthly the amount of the funded part of your pension.
