Any citizen of our country has a passport. This is the main document for identification in Russia. It is needed in banks, universities, hospitals and wherever possible. Without it, you won't get a savings account, you won't be able to get a job, and you won't be able to rent an apartment either. And one of the most necessary passport data is the number and series. Therefore, the question of how to recognize them and where to look is very popular.
Instructions
Step 1
To find out the series and number, open your passport on the page with your photo.
Step 2
Flip your passport counterclockwise. After that, the numbers printed on the side of the passport will be in a horizontal position.
Step 3
The first four digits, for example "02 06", are the passport series. The rest, let's say "564312" - is his number.
Step 4
Code "02" in this case means the region of the Russian Federation where the passport was issued. And the code "06" corresponds to the year when the passport form was printed (usually the same as the year of issue). The last six digits are the personal number of your document.
