Instructions
Step 1
There are several stages in the design of an organizational structure, namely:
- definition of the type of structure;
- determination of types of management impact;
- establishing the types of relationships in the enterprise and ways of their implementation;
- correlation of the structure and style of senior management;
- determination of the remuneration system in the management apparatus.
Step 2
In the first step, determine which type of organizational structure your organization can be classified as: functional, mixed, or divisional.
Step 3
In the second step, define the type of management impact. Find out what are the main tools of influence are typical for your business:
- strategic control;
- financial control;
- investment control;
- operational control;
- personnel policy;
- political assistance;
- Information support.
Step 4
The third stage is designed to identify possible types of relationships in the enterprise from the following possible:
- production relationships;
- innovative relationships;
- personnel relationships.
Each of the presented types can be carried out in one of 3 forms: automatic, "channel" or forced.
Step 5
In the fourth step, understand the possible relationship between the structure and general style of senior management. The following types of managers are most common in relation to intracorporate communications:
- leaders-experts;
- advisor leaders;
- leaders-negotiators;
- Visitor leaders.
Step 6
When defining remuneration systems in the fifth phase of organizational design, be guided by the following criteria:
- the organization's ability to extract value;
- the results of checking the goal-setting system;
- methods of management influence on business analyzers.
