Step 1
To obtain a license to purchase pneumatic weapons with a capacity of up to 25 J, the law provides for a number of requirements for citizens. Persons can obtain a license:
• have reached the age of 18;
• have no criminal record;
• having a permanent residence permit on the territory of the Russian Federation;
• not registered in psychiatric and narcological dispensaries;
• have no medical contraindications to the possession and use of weapons.
Step 2
If all the conditions are met, you can start collecting the necessary documents and take special courses in the safe handling of weapons. The course program is 6 hours, and they take place in one day. Based on the results of the training, certification is carried out and a certificate of completion of the courses is issued.
Step 3
To obtain a license to purchase pneumatics, you must collect the following documents:
1. Passport with a photocopy of the main page and registration page.
2. A photocopy of the hunting ticket. It is issued upon joining a hunting farm.
3. Two photographs 3 × 4.
4. Certificate of form 046-1, issued in the clinic at the place of residence when undergoing a medical examination.
5. Certificates from psychiatric and narcological dispensaries.
6. Documents confirming the passage of training in the safe handling of weapons.
Step 4
With these documents, you need to go to the department of licensing and permitting work at the police department at the place of residence. There you will need to fill out an application form for a license and take a receipt, which can be paid at any branch of Sberbank. The amount on the receipt is based on the number of weapons you intend to buy. Now the state fee for a license is a little more than 100 rubles, and much less for an extension.
Step 5
Within 10 days after you submit your application, the FRR will consider it and make a decision, which will notify you in writing. Refusal to accept the application must be reasoned. If the result is positive, if you receive a license for the first time, you must pass an exam on the rules for carrying, storing and using airguns. After 30 days from the date of passing the exam, you are issued a license, but sometimes this period can be increased.
Step 6
With a license in hand, you can safely go to the gun store and buy your favorite weapon, as well as a safe for storing it and a holster. When buying a weapon, 2 license stubs remain in the store and 1 remains with you. With him you need to appear in the FRR for registration of weapons within 2 weeks.
