Instructions
Step 1
Make sure you meet the requirements for future lawyers. You must have a law degree from an accredited university or a law degree. In addition, a legal experience of at least 2 years or an internship in law education for at least 1 year is required. In this case, you must be fully competent and not have a criminal record for an intentional crime.
Step 2
Read the list of questions for the bar exam. It is approved annually by the Federal Chamber of Lawyers of the Russian Federation. Since this list is very long, it is best to start preparing for the exam before taking the next steps.
Step 3
Contact the qualification commission of the bar association of the subject of the federation at your place of residence. Apply there for the status of a lawyer. Submit the required documents: a copy of the identity document; a questionnaire with biographical information; a copy of the work book or other document to confirm the length of service; a copy of the document on higher legal education or award of an academic degree. Application forms and questionnaires are approved by law. In cases stipulated by law, other documents may also be required.
Step 4
On the day appointed by the commission, appear for the exam, present an identity document. The test consists of a written and an oral part. If you pass the written part well, you will be offered to draw out a ticket for the second part. Answer correctly if possible. In addition to the questions specified in the ticket, you may be asked additional questions.
Step 5
Find out the result of passing the exam on the same day. Wait for the decision of the qualification commission to assign the status of a lawyer.
Step 6
Take the oath of a lawyer and get the cherished "crusts" in the manner prescribed by the chamber of law.
