Any person can own a car, but not everyone has the right and is capable of driving a car. If the car is owned by a person who does not have the right or ability to drive it, a power of attorney can be issued for the car, allowing unauthorized persons to use it.

Step 1
The power of attorney is drawn up in a simple written form. To facilitate its registration, you can use special forms that can be found on the Internet and filled in by hand. On some sites, such as gai.ru, you can find special power of attorney forms that are filled out directly online, as a result of which the finished power of attorney can be printed on a regular printer. The power of attorney specifies the owner (or owners) of the vehicle, the person (or persons) to whom the car is entrusted, as well as the validity period of the power of attorney, up to three years.
Step 2
In addition to the names of the owner of the vehicle and the person on whom the power of attorney is written, a few more points must be indicated in this document. The power of attorney prescribes the powers transferred to the representative, as well as the possibility or impossibility of their transfer. The power of attorney also provides basic information about the characteristics of the vehicle, such as make (type), state registration plate, VIN identification number, year of manufacture, engine number, body number, color, series, number, date of issue of the vehicle passport and registration document and name the organization that issued them.
Step 3
The issued power of attorney must be signed by the person (persons) who issued the power of attorney for the car. A power of attorney drawn up in this simple written form does not require notarization, however, if desired, the signature of the principal (s) can be certified.
The power of attorney may grant the right to drive a car, drive and dispose of a car, haul, customs clearance and registration of a car, its insurance, as well as other actions directly related to the car (inspection, case management in court, car insurance).
