Producer (from English “produce” - to produce) - a specialist in finding an artist's individual style. He also often manages the search for sponsors and contracts, but, contrary to popular belief, he is not a sponsor himself. In the American tradition, it is not he who pays the artists for performances, but the artists pay him to create a specific sound (sound producer), an attractive image (image producer) and other merits. The success of a musician, actor, dance or film project largely depends on his professionalism.
Instructions
Step 1
Specify the type of your activity: cinema, theater, music (here you also need to clarify: rock, pop, jazz, classical, rap or other). There are no universal producers who can make any project famous.
Step 2
Ask friends and acquaintances in bohemian circles what production centers they know. Naturally, brush aside centers that are not specialized in your type of activity.
Make a list of names, contacts, ask about the nature of the staff of these centers: a lot in the negotiations will depend on the human factor.
Step 3
Visit the website of each of the centers, take a look at their work. Advice for aspiring artists: do not expect to immediately get to the producers of Pugacheva and Rotaru. They are hardly determined to create a project from scratch, they are well fed by their previous work. But do not take into account the very inferior ones either.
Step 4
Call each of the centers. In the conversation, tell them your name, occupation, the purpose of the call. Make an appointment. Speak without shyness or challenge, be kind and confident.
Step 5
At the meeting, tell us in detail about your project, about its advantages over similar ones. Do not think that even with good speech, you will be embraced. Perhaps, the center does not need cooperation with newcomers now.
Step 6
Keep making appointments and talking about the project. Look for new connections. With those who refused you, say goodbye cordially, as if they made a contract with you. Going through the centers one by one, you will find someone who will agree to work with you.
