Step 1

Use the payroll for the employee's three months prior to leaving. Add up his salary for the given period. Include this amount of salary, bonuses, allowances and other payments that are remuneration of a specialist for the performance of his duties prescribed in the agreement (contract). Do not include in the calculation the money given to the employee as material assistance or a one-time benefit.

Step 2

Now calculate the number of working days in the last three months of the employee's employment. To do this, use the production calendar. Then calculate the number of days worked in that period.

Step 3

Find the average daily wage for a specialist. To do this, divide the amount of payments by the number of days actually worked.

Step 4

Then calculate the average monthly number of business days. Divide the number of days actually worked by three.

Step 5

After that, multiply the employee's average daily earnings by the average number of days worked per month. Thus, you get the average wage of an employee. This value will be used to calculate and calculate unemployment benefits.

Step 6

If you need to calculate the average salary for calculating sick leave benefits or vacation pay, then the calculation will be done in the same way. The difference is as follows. The settlement period is twelve calendar months. Payments for fulfilling duties for the year are summed up. Then the average daily wage is calculated by dividing the total earnings by the number of calendar days in a year. The resulting value is multiplied by 29.5 days.

When filling out a certificate for the employment center, please note that the document contains columns in which you need to indicate the number of sick leave days, leave, if any.
