Sometimes it seems to us that we work much more than others, and we get less money for it. If not this, then there are a bunch of other reasons why we would always like to get more money for our work.

Instructions

Step 1

Before you start writing the application directly, do the following: Determine for yourself what you want to give management as an excuse to ask them to raise your salary.

Step 2

Formulate and justify for management at least one small benefit or benefit that the company could receive by fulfilling your request. For example, if you do not plan to go on vacation within the next year, then hint at this in your appeal. Think carefully about how you present this information.

Step 3

Take a piece of paper and divide it into two columns with a vertical line. Think about what objections your manager might have about your request. Write them down in the first column. Now, in the second column, write down all the benefits generated, based on point 2, in other words, these will be factors that could push the leader to make a positive decision in your favor.

Step 4

Consider each item in the second column in terms of eliminating one or another number from the first column. For example, your proposed benefit A could eliminate objections A, C, and D.

Step 5

For a similar purpose, think about each benefit you articulate. Your goal is to eliminate as many of the likely objections from your boss as possible. If you were able to resolve a small enough number of objections, then think again what benefits you could provide to the company. It is likely that they are not so obvious.

Step 6

After you have done your analytical work and have eliminated many of the likely objections, write a statement. After you write, read it yourself from beginning to end. Think about the likelihood that you, being in the manager's position, would be able to raise the salary of the employee who submitted such an application. Make adjustments if necessary.
