Sometimes leaders of organizations are forced to apply part-time work to their employees. According to the Labor Code, some categories of workers have the right to demand a reduction in the working day. These include: pregnant women, guardians (trustees) with a dependent child under 14 years old and other citizens. To avoid problems with the labor inspection, it is necessary to properly document part-time working hours.

Instructions

Step 1

Before transferring an employee to part-time work, inform him of this in writing. Do this by means of an order, where he agrees by putting his signature, or use the usual notification. The second method, by the way, is the most convenient both for the work of personnel personnel and for inspection by the labor inspectorate. Please note that this must be done no later than two months before the order is put into effect.

Step 2

If the employee agrees, issue an order (if the part-time message was drawn up in the form of a notice) in which you write down the reason for this procedure, for example, due to the financial difficulties of the organization.

Step 3

After that, make changes to the employment contract, this is done by drawing up an additional agreement, which is signed by both parties. Prepare this document in duplicate, one of which will remain with you, the second, give to the employee.

Step 4

Then write an order to change the staffing table, in which you state the reason. In the end, change the staffing table itself. Also, in some cases, draw up a new work schedule, which is attached to the employee's personal file. This is useful if you know the exact hours of the employee's work, for example, when combining work with study.

Step 5

Pay the salary for this part-time employee in proportion to the days worked.

Step 6

If you initially hire an employee for part-time work, but have the opportunity to pay the full wage rate, then you have the right to hire another employee for this position, and indicate this in the staffing table. This applies, for example, in the case of hiring pregnant women.

Step 7

In this case, also draw up an order, only this time about employment, where be sure to write down these conditions. In the employment contract, also indicate that the employee is not hired full-time.
