Imagine your perfect day. What time did you get up? Did you head to a modern office or open your laptop and start working from home? You have to meet people during the day, and who are they - your colleagues, patients, agents of other firms, couriers? What do you talk about most of the day? Do you have to travel to various organizations throughout the day? What time do you come home? What time do you go to bed? Based on your answers, think about which profession would best suit your desired daily routine.
Step 2
Imagine that you need to talk about the same things every day for a month. Are you interested in topics such as "market capacity", "increasing GDP growth"? Are you ready to discuss the advantages of Finnish acrylic paint over Polish paint for days? But, perhaps, you can spend hours discussing with your girlfriends which colors are best for women of a cold type, or discussing engine capacity with friends. You should not get a prestigious specialty, to which you do not have a soul, it is better to achieve success in the area that is close to you.
Step 3
Conduct a mini-survey of working family and friends. Let them tell you about their work schedule, the education they received and the skills required to do this job, the reasons that prompted them to choose this particular profession. From them you can learn the advantages and disadvantages of their profession, career prospects, whether it will be easy for you to find a similar specialty. By collecting such data for various specialties, you can make the right choice.
Step 4
Currently, many tests for career guidance have been created. You can find them both in special books on psychology, and in women's magazines or the Internet. Take such a test, perhaps it will tell you what you have tendencies for. However, you should not take the test result as a verdict if you do not like it. After all, the result depends on the emotional state. If you think that this profession is not suitable for you, try to take the test again after a couple of days.
