Finland is a very attractive country to move to. It is well developed and close by, so it won't be a big problem to visit relatives in Russia. In addition, Finland is quite friendly towards immigrants. There are four main ways to go to live in this European country: marriage with a citizen (citizen) of Finland, work, higher education and purchase of property.
Instructions
Step 1
With marriage, everything is quite simple: the presence of a spouse in Finland gives the right to live in this country. First, a temporary permit is given for one year. Then it will need to be renewed, and after two years of residence in Finland, you can get a permanent permit. After a certain period of time, you can even obtain Finnish citizenship. It is worth remembering that living in a civil marriage for two years is equivalent to marriage.
Step 2
In Finland, the basis for issuing work permits is the needs of the labor market. So, having found a place to work in this country, you can get an invitation from the employer and the results of an examination, certifying the need for you to come, and apply for a work permit. This can be done at the Finnish embassy or consulate in Russia. If you are issued a work permit, then a residence permit will be issued along with it. In the future, it is important to renew the contract with the employer in order to stay in the country.
Step 3
Studying in Finland is a reason to issue a student with a temporary residence permit (for the period of study), but not permanent. It is assumed that the student will receive an education and go home. However, if you find a job in Finland during your studies, you have a chance to stay and live in it. The same can be done by leaving not to study at a Finnish university, but to live with a family and take care of a child under the Au-Pair program (work as a nanny, educator in a Finnish family). However, in order to find a job here, it is important to have a good knowledge of Finnish: English is not enough.
Step 4
A good, but not accessible, way to live in Finland is to buy a property. Buying a house guarantees a foreigner a temporary residence permit in the country. To obtain permission to buy a house or apartment in Finland, you only need the consent of the Environment Center. But it is worth remembering that this does not give the right to permanent residence.
