Austria is an attractive country for many foreign citizens to live, study and work. However, in order for a foreigner who is not a citizen of the European Union to have such an opportunity, it is necessary to obtain a right of residence, or a residence permit, in Austria.

The most common way is to obtain a residence permit (residence permit) for the "key labor force" (Schlüsselkraft). So in Austria it is customary to call owners of their own business, as well as hired foreigners. - ownership of housing or a long-term lease agreement.

For entrepreneurs who own their own business in Austria, several thousand quotas are allocated annually. In addition to the basic requirements for entrepreneurs, which do not differ from those for employees, the authorities require applicants to prove the profitability and usefulness of the business for the economy and society of the country.

In addition, there is another opportunity to obtain a residence permit in a developed European country. This method is suitable for those foreign citizens who are able to prove their financial independence. It is usually sufficient to provide the immigration authorities with bank statements, which must contain at least € 400,000 for the applicant and each of his family members.
