Invite someone you know, system administrators, to talk to the candidate and assess the quality of his knowledge and skills.

In the event that your company is small and the computer network is small, then after debugging the equipment, the constant presence of the system technician at the workplace is no longer required. Then it makes sense to issue it at half the rate, provided that this is a competent and highly professional person who already has a job and does not want to lose it.

Even if there are no failures in its work, you should not feel that the systems engineer at the workplace has nothing to do. In addition to the special knowledge that a good system administrator must possess, he must necessarily be a reliable, responsible and punctual person. Without these qualities, even having a high qualification, the person on whose work the success of your enterprise depends will not be particularly useful to you and can bring tangible losses. As you read the recommendations and interact with the candidates in the interview, note for yourself the presence of these qualities.
