Sometimes, due to some reasons and circumstances, situations arise when a building is being built without the appropriate registration and does not have any accompanying documents, that is, the building is being erected without permission. To begin with, it should be noted that the procedure for legitimizing an unauthorized structure (building) differs in many respects from the usual design and is carried out only by a court decision.

Step 1
Prepare a list of required documents for filing with the court. The list of such documents includes: passport, documents confirming the ownership of the land plot on which the building is built, cadastral plan of the site, building design, documentation from various departments, which indicates that design and construction work has not been violated during construction, fire and sanitary standards, invoices, receipts, acceptance certificates and other documents confirming that you paid the contractor who performed the construction (if the work was carried out by the contractor).
Step 2
Attention! If the land plot is not your property, you first need to take steps to register such a plot through the court. In this case, you will need to find out whether this land plot is worth demolition according to the project of local or federal authorities or as a promising one for development, as well as prove that no third parties apply for this plot. Go to court after collecting the required documents. Remember, filing documents with the court should not be at your place of residence, but at the location of the building.
Step 3
Write an application for establishing ownership of a building built without permits. The application should indicate the reasons for the unauthorized construction (there was nowhere for the family to live, etc.), that is, the reasons should only be valid, as well as indicate the year of foundation of the building and justify the emerging need to legalize this structure.
Step 4
Pay the state fee. Submit all documents, including photocopies of some of them, as well as a receipt for payment to the court for consideration. It is the decision of the court that will become the end point in solving this case and the basis for refusing to extradite or for issuing you a certificate of ownership of the unauthorized building.
