Step 1
The first step is to become aware of your abilities, skills, and education. In short, this is all that you already possess today, that you know well and that you can perform competently. Also, this can include formal proof of your competence - a diploma of education, a certificate of completion of courses, training programs. All this should be reflected in a single most important document for employment - your resume. Ideally, a resume should have the following main blocks:
- the purpose of employment and the desired position in the labor market, - work experience, - education,
- extra skills, - contacts.
These blocks are enough for the employer to have an idea of you as a future employee.
Step 2
The second step consists in self-determination and setting clear guidelines for finding a job, that is, in simpler terms, you need to decide for yourself what you want to do. It must be something that comes from the heart. Imagine yourself in a year and think about who you want to see yourself, what you want to do and what to be like, what will bring joy. Match these answers to your current skills. Think over to the smallest detail the desired position, as well as the amount of salary at which you would feel comfortable doing the chosen job.
If it is difficult to decide on the choice of the desired position yourself, use the help of a coach-mentor. You can easily find such a person on the Internet and ask him for the first consultation, which, as a rule, is free of charge and is carried out via Skype, which is very convenient.
Step 3
After you have clearly defined the position, look at the vacancies offered on the market. Pay close attention to the requirements that employers make for such an employee. Re-read your resume again and supplement it in accordance with the requirements, that is, focus on those points that are interesting and necessary for the employer. However, in this case, you cannot overdo it: write only what it really is, so that you do not end up in an unpleasant situation afterwards.
Step 4
Look at the websites of companies that are ready to hire an employee for the position you are interested in. First of all, decide for yourself whether you want to work in this organization, read the reviews. Look at the salary level. After that, you can safely send your resume to the vacancies of interest.
Step 5
Wait for the first reviews, but do not rush with answers. After interested employers call and write to you, analyze all the options, go for an interview and try to ask all your questions so as not to be disappointed later. Compile a comparative table of options for the parameters you are interested in, for example, salary level, proximity to home, average age of employees, company recognition in the market. Use the scoring method to compare the options. When performing this analysis, it will already be clear to you which option you are leaning towards more.
