Step 1
In the military ID of any male citizen of the Russian Federation, one of five possible categories of validity can be recorded, the list of which is established in a special decree of the Government of the Russian Federation. The categories of fitness have letter designations, and most of them do not give full exemption from military duty. In those categories that oblige to serve on conscription, there are often additional digital designations indicating the type, type of troops in which a conscript is recommended.
Step 2
Category "A" in the military ID means that the conscript is fully eligible for military service. The establishment of this category should indicate that during the passage of the medical conscription commission, the study of the health of the citizen to be conscripted, no deviations from the norm were found. In the presence of this category, the conscript can theoretically get into any troops, although in some cases a special number (1, 2, 3 or 4) is put down along with the category, indicating the purpose for specific types of military units.
Step 3
Category "B" in military cards is recorded most often, it means the suitability of a conscript for military service in the presence of certain restrictions related to the state of health. This category is established for those persons who have minor illnesses that do not allow them to count on receiving a deferral or complete exemption from military duty.
Step 4
Category “B” denotes limited fitness for military service. If this category is recorded in the military ID, then the conscript is exempted from service, since he has a serious enough disease that does not allow him to fully perform his official duties in any troops. Such diseases, as a rule, are of a continuing nature, often chronic.
Step 5
Category "G" in the military ID indicates the temporary unsuitability of the conscript for military service. If, during the passage of the draft board, the specified category of suitability is established, then the citizen will be given a deferral for health reasons, but full exemption from the draft will not follow. This category is often recorded when serious diseases are detected that can be completely healed after some time (for example, some types of fractures).
Step 6
Category "D" recorded in the military ID indicates complete unfitness for military service. Such citizens are immediately released from military duties, since they have a permanent and serious illness that precludes conscription into any troops.
