Biography
Ekaterina was born in December 1936 in the Komi-Permyak district, in the village of Tebenkova.
She grew up in a family where everyone loved to sing. It is not surprising that Ekaterina Vasilievna absorbed the culture of her native people from childhood.
She remembered these songs, later they entered the singer's repertoire.
At first, Catherine had a complete family. But then his father was called to the front in 1941, he died soon after.
And the girl graduated from school, then decided to go to medical school. Since it was a difficult post-war time, the future singer was unable to complete her studies and receive medical education. In 1951, she left the walls of this institution, decided to return home to work at the factory.
The work was hard. Contemporaries recalled, in order to cheer up, the girl loudly hummed songs, of which there were a lot in her repertoire.
Creation
Colleagues at the plant enjoyed Catherine's melodious voice. It was they who persistently advised her to go to the song circle. Here the girl studied under the guidance of the opera singer Izmailova N. T. She drew attention to the girl's talent, invited her to sing in the choir at the opera house of the city of Perm. Ekaterina Plotnikova was then 23 years old. Then she began working as a singer in Syktyvkar.
To improve her vocal gift, Plotnikova entered the art workshop, which was located in Moscow.
Here the singer improved her gift, performing musical compositions not only in Russian and native languages, but also songs of the peoples of the world.
Then the already certified specialist E. V. Plotnikova was invited to work at the Philharmonic Society of the city of Gorky. And seven years later, Ekaterina Vasilievna moved to the capital. So she began to work at the Philharmonic of the Moscow Region.
When the woman turned 61, she went on a well-deserved rest.

She was a unique singer who performed her works in 42 languages of the world. E. V. Plotnikova recorded 3 records. The first included Komi-Perm songs. The second disc included songs by A. I. Kleshchina. - national composer. And the third disc is dedicated to tunes that are widespread in the Urals. They were on one side of the record, and the songs of the Russian people were recorded on the other. Recognizing the merits of the singer, the opera diva was awarded a high rank. This was in 1996. So the singer became an Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.
The earthly path of E. V. Plotnikova ended in 2002. But not only her songs remained, but also 3 films in which this Permian Komi singer starred.
