A photographer is now a very popular profession. Lost among many professionals, it can be extremely difficult for a beginner to declare himself and knock out a place in the sun. How can a beginner photographer find a job?
Necessary
- - camera;
- - portfolio;
- - diploma of completion of courses;
- - work experience;
- - Personal site.
Instructions
Step 1
Get a professional or at least semi-professional camera. Of course, good photographs can be taken with a “soap box”, however, firstly, they will be of inferior quality, and secondly, with an amateur digital camera you will simply not be taken seriously.
Step 2
Make yourself a great portfolio. To do this, start by filming friends (or better - friends, as they are more picky about their photos) and photograph them until they like the pictures themselves.
Step 3
Think about what exactly you would like to do: photographing parties, photographing weddings, portraits. After that, start offering services in your chosen field, but for now for free. Arrange to be taken to the wedding by a second photographer, shoot in clubs on your own.
Step 4
Potential clients may also ask what kind of education you have and where you have worked before. You can take a photography course where you will be taught how to choose the right composition and adjust the light, you can work as a photographer for a local newspaper or magazine for the sake of experience. However, if the photos in your portfolio are of high quality and original, it will work better for the client than "crusts".
Step 5
Make yourself a website or group on a social network. Lay out examples of your work, write approximate prices, advertise your group and ask your friends to help you. Potential customers are very well served by promotions such as “discounts for ladies throughout March”.
Step 6
Participate in all sorts of photography contests to get more people to know about you.
