Depending on the type of activity that is the main one for a given enterprise, its structure and number, the main administrative positions include: receptionist, secretary, secretary-assistant, office manager, business assistant, clerk, telephone operator, personal assistant to the head, translator, head of the office / secretariat.

It can be noted that highly qualified administrators are valued by employers at the level of an average manager: logistics, accountant, account manager. The level of their salaries starts at 50 thousand rubles.

What it takes to be a good administrator

Employers set quite high requirements for candidates for administrative positions. The applicant must have a university degree and experience in the industry. More and more often, the knowledge of one or several foreign languages is referred to as charming conditions, and knowledge of a computer and office programs, office equipment and mini-automatic telephone exchange is no longer even mentioned as a matter of course.

A person who wants to do administrative work must also have specific character traits. People who are proactive, competent, have flexible intellect, broad outlook and a systematic approach to work, who are able to make informed operational decisions, will always be in demand.

Since administrative positions also imply communicative functions, competent speech, the ability to find a common language with people and logically express their thoughts, knowledge of business etiquette and even good looks will become important qualities when applying for a job, which is especially important for receptionists and secretaries who are the face of the company.
