Of course, when one of the employees informs the manager about her pregnancy, she will hear sincere congratulations in return. But not all of them will be able to hide their disappointment - after all, the company will have to do without an employee for some time, who, perhaps, has no one to replace. However, it is necessary to register a pregnant woman in accordance with labor laws.

Instructions

Step 1

Whatever degree of trust the relationship between the employee and the management is, she must submit a certificate from a medical institution about her pregnancy. The form of such a certificate is not unified and can be arbitrary. But it must contain the full name and patronymic, the last name of the employee, the last name and signature of the doctor, the name of the medical institution, the date of issue.

Step 2

The employer needs a certificate to document the benefits provided to this employee; it is needed for reporting to the tax office, which can be requested at any time. But even in the case when, with obvious signs of pregnancy, the employee did not submit a certificate, this is not a reason to send her on business trips and involve her in work on weekends.

Step 3

Conduct a conversation with her and tactfully ask her to draw up this document, referring to the fact that you need it. This is especially true if a woman works under a fixed-term employment contract that ends during pregnancy (Article 261 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation). By law, the employer is obliged to extend the validity period until the end of the pregnancy. The employee must write a statement and attach a medical certificate to it. She, at the request of the employer, is then obliged to submit new certificates again, but not more often than once every 3 months. You can only fire her after the pregnancy ends.

Step 4

Your duty, according to the law, is to provide a pregnant employee with normal working conditions. She has the right to demand a transfer to an easier job if she previously worked in difficult working conditions. Transfer to light labor is carried out by personnel transfer while maintaining the average earnings.

Step 5

At her request, she can be assigned a shorter working day or part-time work week. Judicial practice shows that its duration should be set exactly as the employee will indicate in her application.
