The order of tasks throughout the day can greatly affect your performance. Intuition pushes you to do simple tasks in the first place, but you want to postpone something unpleasant for later. If you do the most unpleasant task first, then the overall work will take less time. Unpleasant tasks are sometimes called "frogs". Ditch your squeamishness and eat the frog first!
Instructions
Step 1
By postponing a difficult and unpleasant task until the second part of the day, we slow down the completion of all tasks before it. The efficiency of working on simple tasks decreases, because we subconsciously do not want to move on to complex ones and are wasting time. As a result, simple tasks that can be done quickly and easily can take a long time.
Step 2
Things get easier at the start of the day. Even on the most difficult task in the morning you will spend less time than in the afternoon. And you can easily cope with simple tasks even in the evening.
Step 3
Tasks sometimes turn out to be much easier than they initially seem. Indeed, sometimes the complexity of a case can only be understood by starting it. And if you postpone it for later, then it will slow down all day's work. Find out how unpleasant the task is as soon as possible, suddenly it just seems to you that it is difficult.
Step 4
The realization that you have dealt with an unpleasant task is rewarding and reassuring. Your mood improves, your strength increases, and your self-esteem rises. With this attitude, you will do small tasks much faster, while you still have time and energy.
