  • - originals of certified documents;
  • -passport;
  • -notary;
  • -money.

Instructions

Step 1

Only a notary can certify a copy of the document, so find out in advance the addresses of the nearest notary offices and their opening hours. In accordance with the law, any citizen can certify the documents he needs without being their owner. An exception is the situation of certification of a copy of the passport, in which a personal presence is required.

Step 2

Check the document, a copy of which you want to notarize. In accordance with federal law, a number of requirements are imposed on it: the sheet must be complete, not laminated, must not contain unreadable or crossed out fragments of text or stamps, and there must be no pencil inscriptions. In the event that a document consists of two or more pages, all of them must be bound, numbered and sealed and signed by an official. There are also certain types of documents, copies of which, in principle, are not subject to notarization. These include: diplomas without a registration number; agreements in simple written form; classified papers; medical documents according to the order of the Ministry of Health and a number of others.

Immediately before the certification of copies, the notary will need to verify your identity. Use your passport for this purpose. After that, he will make a photocopy of the document and certify it with his seal and signature. Then pay for the notary's services according to the current price list (in Moscow, the average cost of these works is 100 rubles per sheet).

Step 4

Keep notarized copies of your documents for as long as necessary. in accordance with the law, their validity period is not limited. It is best to keep them at home or with relatives. Then, in the event of a force majeure situation, they can be used immediately.
