The loss of a driver's license (license) is a very unpleasant incident. It is difficult to restore them, but it is possible. If this incident happened to you, act quickly and promptly, as it will take a certain amount of time to receive a new document.
Make sure the document is lost
The first step is to make sure that your license is not lying around in a bag, purse, car glove compartment or anywhere else. Carefully inspect all places where the document may be. If the license is nowhere to be found, and you are sure that you have lost it, start collecting papers to obtain a new driver's license.
Required documents
Prepare the required documents. You will need a passport or other identity document, a document confirming the fact of your registration at the place of residence or at the place of stay, a medical certificate, a document confirming the completion of training, a photograph and a payment order (receipt) confirming the payment for the exams.
Statement
Contact the traffic police. Submit the necessary documents and write a statement about the loss of the document. In the application, indicate that you are asking for a driver's license to replace the lost one.
Medical certificate
Remember that the medical certificate must not be overdue. It does not matter how much time remains before its expiration date. Even if it ends in a few days, you are required to issue a new driver's license.
Driver card
Do not forget to attach your training certificate. Without a driver's card, you will not be able to get a new license.
Temporary permission
Get temporary permission. It is usually issued for one month. To do this, you will need to pay a fee of 500 rubles.
Payment of state duty
Attach a receipt confirming payment of the state fee to the main package of documents for obtaining a new driver's license. It is 800 rubles for a document made from consumables on a plastic basis (in other words, for a laminated document).
